Judaism in Year Three

In RE, the boys and girls are enjoying learning about the Jewish faith. They began by locating Jerusalem and the Western Wall and discussed why these are special places to Jewish people. They then identified objects which would be found in a synagogue and learned about their importance. On Wednesday, the children had a virtual visit to Newcastle Reform Synagogue and found out about  why it is such an important building and what happens there. Since their visit, the children have reflected on the activities which take place in a synagogue and have thought about activities important to themselves. The children are excited to learn about Jewish festivals next week.
