The Big Reveal!

This week in English we have had a big reveal. The boys and girls were keen to find out what their new class story is. They began by discussing the clue – a necklace. They predicted that the shapes were bones and teeth. They then got creative and had a go at making their own necklace before revealing the story … Stone Age Boy!

The children have since been exploring the author’s use of language and the images this creates in the reader’s mind. They used a thesaurus to find synonyms for the verb ‘walked’ and then wrote two of their own sentences to create contrasting pictures.
