Leaving a Legacy – Roman Style!

This week, we have started our History work as part of our ‘Leaving a Legacy’ topic. Our focus is on the Romans and the inventions and influences that they have had on British society. We have created a timeline of key dates and figures involve in the Roman invasion and conquest and have also researched the story of Queen Boudicca. She was the Queen of the Iceni tribe and she led an, ultimately failed, rebellion against the Roman rule. The children have enjoyed the start of their topic work and have lots of interesting and insightful questions and comments. We look forward to finding out more next week.
