Comparing Countries!

As part of our Rainforests topic, the children have been focussing on the continent of  South America as part of their Geography lessons. Atlases were used to establish the location of South America within the world; the children then found and named each of the countries, along with it’s capital city.

Children found information about each of the countries, including population, average temperature and annual rainfall. They collated this information in a table, and were interested in making comparisons.

The children are looking forward to learning more about South America, starting with a focus on Rio de Janeiro (in Brazil) next week!
