Atlas Antics!

This week, Year 5 begun working on our Geography unit: Rivers! We started the week by discussing rivers local to us, and we were amazed to see how many rivers there were in the UK! We then branched out to the world. The children were given a map with various rivers identified on it, and they used the index of their atlases to identify where each river was situated. Although there was a bit of confusion where there were multiple rivers in each continent, the children thoroughly enjoyed the task and are looking forward to learning more about how rivers work.
