Wonderful (Christian) Weddings

In RE, Year 2 have been learning all about Christian weddings. The children learnt that Christians often get married in a church, exchange rings/vows and eat cake. The children had to pretend that they had been a guest at a Christian wedding and made a thank you card for the bride and groom. Inside the card, the children wrote about what they enjoyed at the wedding, including throwing confetti and, of course, sampling some delicious sweet treats.

Year 2 also learnt about what the bride and groom wear on their special day. They made a beautiful bouquet of flowers for the bride to carry down the aisle. This took lots of patience and perseverance as it was quite tricky to create a realistic flower.
