Exchanging frenzy

In Year 2, the pupils have been learning to exchange ten ones for a ten.  This is in preparation for later this week when they apply this rule to the column method when adding.  It was wonderful to see how competitive yet supportive the children were with their partner.  They all had the opportunity to play against different opponents making this a very exciting (and noisy) afternoon!
