Sorting 3D shapes

This week, Year 2 have been learning about 3D shapes. After a week of leaning about the properties and language of these shapes, the children enjoyed using a venn diagram to sort some shapes and discussing what the criteria could be. It was wonderful to see the pupils using correct mathematical terminology to help them describe the 3D shapes. Why don’t you see if your child can explain the terms: face, curved surface, vertice or edge?
