Wonderful Wharton Park

Year 4 had a fantastic day at Wharton Park as part of their geography and science learning. The children took part in exciting orienteering challenges around the park, using maps and teamwork skills to find different checkpoints. The children used compasses and looked at maps with keys. Everyone showed great determination, problem-solving and cooperation throughout the activities.

The class also enjoyed an Eco-Explorer workshop where they learned about local wildlife, habitats and how to care for the environment. The children explored the natural surroundings, discovered interesting plants and insects, and even captured insects in the meadow, using magnifying glasses to see their bodies up close, before releasing them again.

It was wonderful to see the children learning outdoors, building confidence and having so much fun together. A highlight was definitely playing in the playground and the children played so well together. Well done, Year 4, for representing the school so brilliantly!
