Angel Court: Music, Movement and Merriment

Our first week back at Angel Court after a long break was a great success.

The funding we have is from Sport England and their aim is to fund “projects and organisations, small and large, that help people get more people active. Every penny they spend ties into their vision that everyone in England should feel able to take part in sport and physical activity.” With that in mind we are working with Jo from the Equal Arts Council to take part in music and movement sessions.

What a hoot we had, everybody got involved. The residents were so emotional to have the children back, they said it had been so quiet without them, the children certainly changed that. You can see from the delight on their faces what these sessions mean to them. We were all worn out by the end with sore tummy muscles from laughing so much. We calmed down with some quiet reflection and finished off with some singing which is fantastic for opening up the lungs, The Black Hills of Dakota was a firm favourite. Roll on next week and more fun and games.
