The children in Year 1 have enjoyed getting creative on a Tuesday after school. They all enjoy Numbots so the boys and girls cut out parts to make their very own ‘Rusty’. In their English lessons, the children have loved reading the story Meercat Mail by Emily Gravett. They carefully followed steps to draw a meercat and then added a background to show Sunny living in the Kalahari Desert. They also talked about how it would feel to live in a desert. The children have also had a go at creating pictures of plants and animals that are symmetrical. Finally, everyone enjoyed exploring different lines to create handprint pictures with a beach theme in anticipation of their much anticipated visit to South Shields Beach .
Well done.
