VEX robotics tournament

This half term, the children taking part in our VEX robotics club participated in a tournament hosted by Nissan. The tournament involved 20 local primary schools who took their own robots to compete in driving skills challenges. Our team appropriately named themselves ‘The Green Machine’, and competed brilliantly. Working in pairs, they had to complete driving and programming tasks against the clock. They also teamed up with other schools, where they combined their individual skills to earn maximum points. It was a brilliant experience for our team, who were proud of their achievements and gained lots of confidence in their own abilities and skills. The team will continue to develop their designing, building, programming and driving skills after school, so that they are ready to give the whole school an impressive demonstration.
