Zoom Zoom Zoom… Nursery go to the Moon!

This week in Nursery we have travelled up to space and landed on the moon.

We have enjoyed learning all about space and rocket ships this week. During our math’s small group activity we have been creating rockets using different 2D shapes such as; square, triangle, circle and rectangle. We identified which shapes we had used and compared the rockets we created with each other. We also used some shape hunting frames to find different shapes in our nursery garden and around the school grounds. The children have explored shares within the classroom too when building rockets in the construction area and printing with 3D shapes in the painting area.
