Tis the season to sparkle and shine!

This week nursery has been full of glitter and sparkles as we complete our Christmas crafts.

The children have been busy competing their Christmas crafts and activities before the end of the autumn term. We have been making Christmas cards for our families using different lengths of card, sequins and glitter. We worked hard to write our own names giving meanings to our marks as well as adding kisses (xxx) too. We used rainbow fingerprinting to create designs on our calendars and used white finger printing to make our school baubles for the bauble project. We also made magic reindeer dust to sprinkle on Christmas Eve to guide the reindeers to our house.

the children have also been completing Christmas themes activities around the classroom such as playing in the small world to build the polar express, designing and decorating Christmas trees using loose part materials, finding out what our nursery elves (Jingle and Elfie) have been doing each night, and making toys in Santa’s workshop.
