Tour of Britain 🚲

On Friday 10th September, the Rights Respecting Officers attended the Tour of Britain on behalf of Harlow Green. Gateshead played host to the finishing line of stage six of the event where the cyclists ended their Carlisle to Gateshead race under the shadow of Sir Antony Gormley’s iconic Angel of the North. The cyclists covered a distance of 198km to complete this stage of the race, with the winner being Belgium’s Wout Van Aert (who also went on to be crowned champion for 2021).

The children thoroughly enjoyed their time watching the race, experiencing the electric atmosphere and celebrating with thousands of other spectators from our community.
