Year 5 Home Learning – Week 15

Another week of home learning seems to have flown by and we are pleased that you have been keeping busy with fun activities and lots of hard work. Your teachers have continued to smile when we see everything that you have been getting up to and we are already looking forward to next week’s learning!

We have read some fantastic newspaper reports this week with lots of you writing your own versions of what will happen when lockdown fully ends. It has been great to see you all putting such effort into your grammar and comprehension activities and we are delighted to see these completed so well. We have also been looking at co-ordinates and, although some parts of this topic were tricky, you have all worked very hard and should be proud.

Lots of you have been keeping busy this week by spending time outdoors. We have enjoyed all of your photographs of bike rides and daily walks. Gardening has also been popular this week and it has been great to see one pupil’s tadpoles and frogs. Many of you have visited local woods this week too and we have had some fantastic photographs of a leaf hunt . Those of you in school have also made the most of your time outdoors by taking part in the daily mile and outdoor P.E as much as possible.

We are so proud of your fantastic attitudes while working from home: you have adapted so well during these strange times and your hard work never fails to amaze us. Weekly Maths and English tasks will be posted on Monday for those of you continuing to learn from home – we look forward to seeing all your hard work. Seeing your updates always makes us smile, so please keep sending your emails to [email protected].

We hope you all enjoy the weekend and we look forward to seeing what next week brings.
