Writing Task

Read The Old Toy Room story. Choose your favourite toy from home and draw a picture of it in the box provided. Then, write a sentence to describe your toy. What does it look like? What is it made out of? What game do you play with it?

What I’m Looking For:

  • Capital letter at the start of each sentence
  • Full stop at the end of each sentence
  • Gaps between words
  • Use sound mats to help with spelling

Reading and Phonics

Children should spend 20 minutes at least three times per week using Lexia. Children should take part in phonics and spelling daily using Ruth Miskin YouTube Videos.

Maths

In maths, we will spend the week focusing on a particular topic e.g. shape or place value. Activities will then be set on Mathletics that are based upon this subject.
