Year 3 Home Learning – Week 9

Unbelievably, the first half of the summer term has come to an end. Next week, we hope you take some time to relax and enjoy the sunshine.  Because it is half term, we will not be setting tasks on Mathletics and we will not be setting a writing task on Monday (although please feel free to still use our apps if your children wish to!). There will also be a Times Table Rockstar class battle for everyone to take part in.

Again, this week we have been astounded by everyone’s commitment to learning and the wide range of activities which you have been taking part in.  We have been particularly impressed with the number of children who have completed this week’s writing task and thoroughly enjoyed reading your letters! Lots of you included creative ideas and ambitious vocabulary choices to make them exciting. It is also really pleasing to see some of you complete your own writing activities – one of you gave us goosebumps with your spooky ghost stories!

As we have been lucky enough to have another week of sunshine, again many of you have been making the most of the outdoors and have taken a keen interest in the creatures and animals spotted along the way. Miss Ledger spotted deer on her walk through the woods earlier this week and Mrs Morris is planning on making the most of the good weather and setting up camp in the garden with her little ones. Some of you have taken to the outdoors for your craft activities as well – this week we have seen tie-dying t-shirts and painting!

We wish you all a lovely half term!

Enjoy and stay safe.
