Year 6 Home Learning – Week 8

Another week of home learning and another week where you have made your teachers (and parents) proud with the effort that you have put in to your work. It has been especially pleasing to see so many of you engaging with the weekly writing task – look out for next week’s and let’s see how many of you can complete another one. There has also been some lovely art work and a very detailed and comprehensive maths investigation, which we have enjoyed looking at too. Many of you are still completing your Mathletics, Reading Plus and TT Rockstars work and this continues to be important whilst you are at home. Don’t foget, you can challenge each other and your teachers to a TT Rockstars battle.

The government announcement last Sunday has allowed people to be outside more and to travel to parks and outdoor spaces and we know that many of you have enjoyed the opportunity to exercise and walk in different places. Your teachers are continuing with their daily exercise too with Mr Allen and Mrs Galvin both enjoying long walks with their dogs. Miss Callaghan has been developing her new-found love of baking with new recipes being attempted.

This week, we have been busy talking to your secondary schools and providing some of the information that they need for transition. They are very lucky to be getting you as students from September and the responsible way you have dealt with the current situation has shown how ready you are for this next step.
