Year 1 Home Learning – Week 8

Well, that’s the end of our eighth week of home learning and its great to end it with some sunshine.  Yet again we have been receiving so many amazing pictures and stories from your time at home.  We’ve enjoyed looking at the many ways you have celebrated VE Day and the various ways you are keeping yourselves amused at home from writing diaries to going on nature walks,  Seeing your pictures from home always puts a smile on our faces so please keep on sending them in – [email protected]

It’s has also been nice to see all of your completed writing challenges alongside your imaginative drawings of monsters. We have been so impressed  and proud of your writing and it looks like you have tried incredibly hard to include all the things you were asked to include. Look out for our new writing challenge on Monday.

This week Miss Norman has triumphed in completing her doughnut jigsaw.  See if you can spot it in the photos below.  Mrs Lewis has been enjoying taking long walks but her highlight was making jam tarts with the children who are still coming into school.  Mrs Hopkins has been helping her daughter complete week 5 of the Couch to 5K course – only 4 more weeks to go. Phew!  She has also been taking advantage of the beautiful sunshine and taking long walks and exploring with her family.

Only one more week to go until half term.  Remember to keep on staying safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly.
