Year 2 Home Learning – Week 5

We hope you have all enjoyed your Easter holidays and activities (although it definitely felt different this year), and we hope you’ve eaten lots of yummy Easter eggs (we’ve enjoyed munching our way through ours!).

Summer term began on Monday and we have been extremely lucky to have the weather to enjoy the outdoors, which many of your photos show. Thank you again for sending in lots of pictures of your wonderful home learning this week. We’ve seen lots of you enjoying the time capsule activity, reading, building towers, dog training, gardening, finger painting and even having a mini-olympics in the garden! We have also had lots of teeth falling out-the tooth fairy must have been very busy this week!

Your teachers have been busy too! Mrs Hamilton and Mrs Chapman have been enjoying home schooling their own children and getting to spend quality time with their families. Miss Bull and Mrs Hamilton have also tried their hand at becoming gardeners and are waiting for their seeds to start growing into beautiful flowers! We’ve also been enjoying the sunshine on our daily dog walks too!

We will keep you updated next week with another website post featuring more of your wonderful home learning.

WRITING CHALLENGE:

Every Friday, we will be setting a writing challenge for you to complete! This week, we would like to hear all about what you have been getting up to at home, remember to include your favourite moments and what you’d like to do more of! As this is a writing challenge, we are looking for you to include your full stops, capital letters and lots of lovely adjectives (describing words).

We would like you to do this in the style of a postcard! Design the front of the postcard (maybe draw your favourite activity) and then you can write on the back! We’re really excited to read all about your home learning and to see your fantastic writing. Let us see it by ‘posting’ pictures of it to our email ([email protected]).
