Year 6 Home Learning – Week 5

Another week of home schooling and it looks like it has been an incredibly busy one for Year 6. It was lovely to speak to so many of you this week, hearing what you have been getting up to and just having a bit of a chat. If we haven’t already spoken to you, we will soon. Please keep sending us e-mails with pictures and any queries you have; it really is such a nice treat for your teachers when we log on and have a message from you.

We know that many of you have lots of questions about the Leaver’s Assembly and secondary school and that this is a strange time. At the moment, we don’t have all of the answers for you, but we will continue to try our best and prepare you in the best way we can for leaving and the next step.

Lots of you have been taking the opportunity to enjoy the sunshine this week: maintaining your bikes; planting seeds; having family sports days; and decorating your drive ready for the Thursday clap for the NHS. It is important in the summer to be enjoying these times.

Keep doing the Mathletics and Reading Plus work you have been set as it has been really pleasing to see the effort this week.

Finally, a little writing challenge:

We are sure many of you have been playing lots of games. Write an explanation text about a real, or I,gained, game. Include pictures and diagrams and try to have a bullet point list.

We are all missing you. Keep working, take care and above all stay safe.
