Home Learning: Year 6, Week 2

It has been strange being in school without you all the last couple of weeks; a school without children is simply a building. Although we nag you all the time about the volume, we are really missing the noise, hustle and bustle of having you in the classroom – even when we say hello to you each morning and you walk straight past us into the room! Your teachers are all doing well and we are enjoying receiving your emails and photos that show us what you have been up to over the week. Like you, we have been trying to get our exercise and Mrs Galvin even bumped into Gabriella when walking her dog and Mr Allen saw Caitlyn’s mam queuing at the shops!

At home, Mr Allen has had lots of time playing football in the garden with Henry, whilst also trying to help him with his home learning: Miss Callaghan has discovered new and strange things to do with Sims; and Mrs Galvin has been beating her husband at table tennis and walking the dog!

There has been lots of amazing work going on this week – with some fantastic posters, diary entries and art work. It is lovely to see that lots of you are still doing your morning work outs too. We have had some interesting photos of people building Anderson shelter dens; baking that looks delicious and has made us hungry; and even camping out on their own sofa whilst their bedroom is being decorated. Keep sending in your emails as it is so nice to be able to keep in touch with you this way.

Well done to the boys who won the TT Rockstars Battle! We have set another one for the holidays too!

We realise that Easter will be a strange one for everyone this year, but try to have a break, relax with your family and eat LOTS of chocolate.

Take Care. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces soon.

Mr Allen, Mrs Galvin and Miss Callaghan
