World Book Day in Year 4

We had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day in Year 4 yesterday. Look at how fantastic we look dressed up as our favourite book characters!

We read the story The Day The Crayons Quit and roleplayed as the crayons, focussing on the crayons’ feelings. Then we wrote postcards from Duncan to the crayons explaining why we made them feel the way they did (and in some cases apologising for Duncan’s behaviour). In the afternoon, we used our artistic talents to blend a colour (red, blue or green) with white to show the spectrum of colour that can be created with just the two colours! When these are dried they will be made into crayons.

The Year 4 children also had the exciting opportunity to share a story with a Reception child!
