Perimeter of polygons

In maths this week, year 4 have been finding the perimeter of polygons. They have used the features of regular polygons to calculate perimeter by using their times tables knowledge. For irregular polygons, they have explored different addition strategies to find the most efficient method. Calculating perimeter has been an effective way for the children to apply their basic number knowledge and use their fact recall skills.
