After a block of calculating, we are enjoying a couple of weeks getting stuck into measurement.
We started this week revisiting the smaller units of length (mm and cm) and then extending this on to metres. Within measurement, we look at how to record measurement, how to measure something and draw length accurately, and how to convert between different units. When using such small units, the big challenge was making sure we were placing and holding the rulers securely enough to make an accurate measure.
We have today also looked at a small number of careers that will use a lot of measurement skills in them.
