We can count!

Year One have been extremely busy this week learning to count all the way up to 20.

The children enjoyed counting forwards and backwards and also learnt how to write the numbers down in digit form. During the week, the children were able to use counting equipment such as counters and tens and ones to represent the numbers. We have become experts at saying our teen numbers and remembering to count the tens first and then the ones. We have also played a place value rocket game where we had to match a pictorial representation of the number to the written number.
