Exciting Electricity!

Year 4 have been enjoying this term’s science topic ‘Electricity’. They have learnt about where our electricity comes from and how it is generated using fossil fuels and renewable sources of energy. They have then explored what electricity needs to be able to travel to an appliance to make it work. By building circuits using batteries, wires, bulbs, buzzers and switches, they have learnt that electricity will flow continually around a circuit until it is broken by creating a gap. They have even been able to identify why some circuits are not complete, and therefore the bulb or buzzer will not work.
