I Hear Thunder

As part of National Nursery Rhyme Week, we have spent time learning 4 rhymes; sing a song of sixpence, two little dickie birds, Humpty Dumpty and I hear thunder.

This week we have been exploring the sound of rain and thunderstorms. To do this we learnt the song “I hear thunder” and performed it as whole group. During topic, we used our creativity skills to use junk model materials to create rain makers. We selected bottles or tubes to make our instruments. We then added rice and cereals to our chosen junk material. We made designs on the outside of our rain makers to make them all unique. Everyone enjoyed playing them together  express taking them home to share with our families.
