This week has seen the start of our art block of work. It all started with learning about primary colours.
We learnt that the primary colours are red, yellow and blue. Every child coloured a red, yellow and blue primary colour wheel. The colouring was so neat! Next the children investigated how they could print with primary colours. They used blocks, potato mashers, LEGO, funnels, cylinders and stamps to print with. Each item showed different patterns and textures. They noticed that sometimes the colours mixed together to make the secondary colours – purple, orange and green. The children have had a fantastic time experimenting with primary colours and their art work is both bright and colourful. Take a look!
