Place value

This week, Year 4 have been exploring place value and using practical resources to help with their understanding. Today, we looked at 1, 10, 100 and 1000 less than and more than using counters and place value charts. The children have particularly loved partitioning 3 and 4-digit numbers using the waterfall method and bar models. We have been very impressed with the knowledge in Year 4!
