This week in Year 5, the children have continued their Geography unit by exploring biomes.
Building on their prior learning, the children revisited the difference between weather and climate, and identified the range of climates found across the Earth. They were then introduced to the concept of biomes and explored each one in greater depth.
The children investigated key features of each biome, including typical weather patterns, levels of rainfall, and the plants and animals that live there. They then applied their knowledge by creating detailed double-page spreads. The children took great care with their presentation, using colour and illustrations inspired by each biome to enhance their work.
Overall, the children produced work of a very high standard and should feel extremely proud of their efforts.
