Primary, Secondary and Tertiary.

In Art, our new topic is all about colours and how from three single primary colours, all other colours are mixed.

In Key Stage 1, the children learn about primary and secondary colours, and in Year 3, we add tertiary colours and then start exploring tints and tones by using white to change those colours even further.

The children had to work extremely carefully to mix paints on their pallet whilst ensuring they didn’t blend together incorrectly, but also leaving enough to then create the tertiary colours with.
