Estimating to check!

In  Maths, we have been looking at estimating, starting with the inverse and the different ways we can change calculations to help us find a missing answer.   To finish off, we have been using estimations to predict an answer, and then checking it.

We talked about where we use estimating such as with time, money and distances, and why we estimate.  For example, that our rooms would take just two minutes to tidy up, or it would take us 5 minutes to get to school.  We rounded numbers, estimated answers and then calculated properly them to check how close our estimations were.
