Let there be light!

This week, Year 6 have been carrying out an investigation in science to complete their ‘Circuits’ topic.

They were set the challenge of making a bulb brighter/dimmer in a circuit. Each group came up with a different idea – from adding more components to the circuit to adding more wires or cells. The children had to ensure that it was a fair test, so that they could generate results that were suitable to make a conclusion from. It was excellent to see the children collaborating in their groups and being able to understand and explain the science as to why the bulbs would change in each experiment.
