The children in Year 2 have enjoyed coming to Art Club on a Tuesday after school. Firstly, they simply took their pencil for a walk to create all different spaces that were a range of shapes and sizes. The boys and girls enjoyed colouring them using felt pens, oil pastels and crayons. The final pieces of work looked fantastic! The children then celebrated Autumn by creating wonderful Autumn collages using shades of yellow, brown, orange and red. They drew around leaf templates and made their own leaf rubbings which they cut out and glued onto their collages. In English, the children have been reading ‘One Day on our Blue Planet … in the Ocean’, and have learnt lots of new facts about dolphins. Everyone enjoyed learning how to draw dolphins, following each step closely. Some children even continued this at home, showing their family members how to draw dolphins. Well done!
