Coordinating conjunctions

The children enjoyed taking part in a number of activities to demonstrate their understanding – matching clauses and choosing the appropriate conjunction. Today, we focused on using ‘and’ or ‘but’. The boys and girls then ended by creating their own compound sentences and were keen to share these with their peers.
