What’s that digit worth?

In Maths at the start of the year we always revisit place value, looking at what each digit within a number is worth.

In Year 3, we progress onto numbers up to 1,000 so this week we’ve reviewed hundreds, tens and ones and next week we will introduce the thousand.

Today we’ve been using place value counters to make up numbers, including using place holders to show were a value is zero.
