New books have been delivered to school!
Over the last couple of weeks, the school has taken delivery of nearly 2000 new books thanks to the money raised from the Sponsored Read. a huge thank you to all of the parents who sent money in and collected sponsorship.
Reading is one of the most important skills that we aim to develop in young children in Harlow Green – developing a life-long love of books and the ability to lose themselves in a story. The money raised has allowed us to supplement our class readers, outdoor library, Accelerated Reader stock and also provide further books for Foundation Stage and Key Stage One. Tomorrow, the children will have a chance to look at these books and we know that there will be considerable excitement about them appearing in the reading areas around school,
