Ice Ice Lolly’s

To keep cool this week we have been making milky ice lolly’s!

the weather has been beautiful this week so we decided to make ice lolly’s as part of our Summer themed mini topic. We put our cutting skills to the test once more and carefully sliced up some strawberries and bananas. We then used forks to mash up the fruits into a purée texture. This was tricky and we really had to use our gross motor skills to mash them up enough! We then mixed the fruit into a mixing bowl with milk and condensed milk. We carefully had to add the mixture into reusable ice lolly’s bags before putting them in the freezer to solidify. We got to taste test them, after snack, on Wednesday – they were delicious!
Below is the recipe we used to make 12 ice lolly’s;

– 200ml milk

– 400g strawberries

– 2 bananas

– 1 tin condensed milk
