Alberto Giacometti Sculptures

This week, the children in Year 6 have continued to work on 3D sculptures in art.

They compared the work of Giacometti with that of Henry Moore and were encouraged to use artistic vocabulary in their discussions. They then designed their own sculptures in Giacometti’s elongated style. The theme for the sculptures was ‘Sports.’

After that, the children used art straws, masking tape and tin foil to try to create representations of their sculptures.
