Nursery have been on an adventure across the seven seas and became PIRATES!
This week we have been learning about pirates. We learnt that they travel across the sea on boats to find hidden treasure on islands. We used our creative skills to make boats from junk modelling resources. We had to test them out in the water tray to make sure that they did not sink or fall apart. We used our scissor skills to cut out our own flags. We also made our own treasure maps, walked the plank and dug for buried treasure in the sand. We designed our pirate costumes too! We made pirate hats and our own hooks so we could continue on our pirate adventures at home. We had to work hard on our fine motor skills to draw a skull and cross bones as well as rolling up tinfoil to make the hooks.
