Odd Socks Day – Power for Good

We got anti-bullying week 2025 off to a great start today with hundreds of odd socks around school!

Anti-bullying week takes place each year and is coordinated by the Anti-bullying Alliance. This year it runs from Monday 10th November until Friday 14th November. This year to celebrate uniqueness, we started celebrating with our usual odd socks day pledge with the theme ‘Power for Good’.  On Monday 10th November, all the children and staff came into school wearing their wackiest odd socks. The theme of Power for Good was chosen to empower all children, and teachers, to do something positive with their words to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes. Bullying affects millions of lives and can leave us feeling hopeless.

Behind all the fun there is a serious message to share. Everyone pulls on their odd socks to show we’re ALL unique and different, to be kind to each other and respect each other’s individuality. It takes courage, but it can change lives. So, this Anti-Bullying Week, let’s come together and use our power for good to stop bullying!
