Over this term, the Rise Team from The Children’s Society have been in school with us every Friday afternoon, delivering workshops to help the children understand managing their emotions and support their mental wellbeing.
We have looked in depth at the different Zones of Regulation and how the body reacts in the different zones, along with how we can help ourselves into, and out of the zones. The children have had a go at a whole range of different breathing techniques and relaxation skills and also identifying how their body deals with emotions like anger, sadness, excitement and loneliness.
Today in our final session, we looked at how to get ourselves out of the red, yellow or blue zones, and maintain our mindset in the green zone.
