Year 6 - Perfect Password
Year 6 became cyber security detectives this week as they took part in our “Password Heist” challenge!
The children investigated how passwords can be stolen, learned how to spot scams and explored ways to keep accounts safe, including strong passwords, two-factor authentication and biometrics.
We also discussed why it is important to use different passwords for different accounts. If someone discovers one password, using the same password elsewhere could put other accounts at risk. This will become even more important as the children get older and use accounts for things such as online banking, shopping and work.
Our key message was simple:
Keep it STRONG. Keep it SECRET. Keep it DIFFERENT. Keep it PROTECTED.
