South Shields Beach

What an amazing day Year 1 have had at the beach!

The weather was glorious and when we arrived at the beach we immediately started to play. The children enjoyed making sandcastle, searching for shells and burying each other in the sand. At lunchtime, we all sat in a circle and ate our packed lunches. We had to keep our eyes open for the pesky seagulls, who were trying to steal our food. Unfortunately, after lunch, a sea fog engulfed the beach. We were looking forwards to dipping our feet in the sea however the lifeguard announced a poor visibility warning. We decided to stay on the beach and play running games instead. It was hard work running in the sand!

Article 31: Every child has the right to relax, play and take part in a wide range of cultural and artistic activities.
