Human Body Detectives

Year One have been busy learning all about the different parts of the human body!

We started our learning by singing "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and having lots of fun playing Simon Says, testing how quickly we could identify and move different parts of our bodies. We then worked together to draw around our bodies and carefully label different body parts, developing our scientific vocabulary along the way.

To make our learning even more exciting, we explored X-rays and challenged ourselves to match the bones and body parts to where they belong. The children were fascinated to see what us hiding underneath our skin!

It has been fantastic to see the children getting involved, using their knowledge and curiosity to discover just how amazing the human body is!
