Computing masters

This term, we have been learning about how digital devices help us in our everyday lives. The children have explored both digital and non-digital devices and discussed how they work.

The boys and girls have developed their understanding of the key vocabulary input, process and output, and can explain how these stages relate to the way devices work.

We put our learning to the test by creating a picture both by hand and using Tux Paint on the iPad. We discussed whether digital devices make our lives easier and discovered that, while it is much easier to erase mistakes when using a digital device, it can sometimes be harder to add our own personal flair!

This week, we have extended our learning further by exploring how we are connected, looking at the different ways we connect with others both digitally and non-digitally.

The children have made excellent links between their learning from week to week and have shown that they can confidently recall and use our key vocabulary. We are very proud of their enthusiasm, curiosity and growing understanding of the digital world!
