Bear-illant Book Launch

In Year Two, the children have been learning all about their new book - Life Savers.

For their book launch, the children made a trauma bear. They were told that this was used to help someone who may be sad, scared or worried.

To begin, they coloured in their bear template and then cut out each piece carefully. They then had to attach the arms and legs to the body using split pins. Finally, they used glue to attach the head and added some buttons for decoration.

The children thought of lots of jobs that might use a trauma bear including, a paramedic, police officer and a fire officer. They learned that a trauma bear is also used by lifeguards and is one of their most important tools to help those in need of a hug.
