Batik!
Year 5 have now completed their fantastic batik-inspired artwork in Art!
Throughout this topic, the children have explored different techniques for manipulating materials before creating their own pieces inspired by an a river landscape.
To bring their designs to life, the children used wax crayons to prevent the watercolour paint from soaking into and colouring certain areas of the cloth. They carefully applied their colours, watching as their river landscapes began to emerge!
The children experimented with different techniques, explored colours and textures, and express their creativity through their individual designs.
